Synopsis

Tarek lives in Damascus and flees in October 2015 from war and persecution by the Assad regime in Syria. His escape takes him from Turkey across the Aegean, along the Balkan route, to Europe, with the goal of reaching Germany. Upon arriving in Germany, after a journey filled with traumatic experiences and hardships, he must face new challenges. He also wants to integrate into German society. An inner process of personal rediscovery begins.
