Ritmi di strada

Synopsis

Street Rhythms is a visual and sonic journey through the neighborhoods of Milan, guided by a silent protagonist: a shadow that walks, observes, sometimes gets lost, and at times allows itself to be touched.
Its gaze is ours—distracted, curious, occasionally distant, yet gradually attuned to the city’s deeper rhythm.

Milan reveals itself without filters or judgments, amidst urban sounds and silences, where murals become signposts along the way: they narrate lives, identities, and collective memories.
But they also unveil something more subtle: the transformation of spaces, the ever-changing face of neighborhoods, the visible and invisible traces of urban redevelopment.
Street Rhythms doesn’t offer answers but invites observation: what do we lose and what do we find when a city changes?

Through six murals and without a single spoken word, the documentary weaves a narrative of images and sounds—a moving urban poem that gently guides us toward a quiet, unspoken awareness.
