Ritual for Crises

Synopsis

This is dance performance/videoart from a period of enormous crisis for humanity on Earth, with fear, contradictions, social restrictions, violence and personal isolation. I turned to nature, and in my solitude I brought a camera which stood on a tripod and which could capture what happened between my own body and nature, how the places I was in responded to the different emotions that I came with, and what was completely unpredictably created by the encounter.

I wanted the pure, simple and undisguised in life reflected on the film. That which held and saw me, that which was not frightened and did not avoid or suspect me of anything. Each encounter was rich and healing. Together they became a ritual that gave birth to music and poetry and that showed a way out of the crisis.
