Synopsis
26th May, 1940. Two Miles from Calais. German forces are advancing through France. Lowly soldier, Egon, is sent into a barn to see if it is suitable for the soldiers who will be wounded in the upcoming attack. Upon entering the barn, Egon is ambushed by a British soldier, Ernest. Despite being in a position to kill Egon, Ernest is unable to bring himself to become a murderer and instead they begin to talk and realise they have more in common than divides them.
