To live forever and be immortal. To live forever to become like God. Or perhaps, to be God.

After 14 years in a psychiatric clinic for children and adolescents, Ari, now 25, finally has contact with the outside world—but only as an observer. In this role, he comes to know the vices and virtues of humanity, leading him to despise it, elevating himself and exorcizing his transcendence.

Isolated in his mountain home and retreating further into a world without distinction between good and evil, Ari is thrust back in time. A timeless era of doctors and nurses, white rooms, and iron cots. A time punctuated by conversations with Dr. Harris, his treating physician—or perhaps his alter ego.

Repulsed by the superficiality of humankind, Ari feels compelled to purify his soul. To do so, he believes he must sacrifice human lives in God's name, expiating the seven deadly sins.
