Synopsis
Set in a semi-basement Banjiha, Yoon-kang lives at the margins of a city that has forgotten him. Smoke Signal traces his quiet attempts to reach out to his friend, mom, and world, each flicker and cigarette smoke representing a form of speech that society mistakes for apathy. Smoke Signal interrogates the gap between what’s felt and what’s seen. The world saw the smoke, not the signal.
