This is the story of the Dombari community — traditional rope-walking performers.
Born into this nomadic tribe, “Disha” is a 9-year-old girl with an intense love for learning. She
despises walking the tightrope, begging for money, or being part of that lifestyle.
Her obsession with education often invites her mother Usha’s wrath and beatings. In the absence
of her father, her grandfather — her biggest supporter — stands by her, and she affectionately
calls him “Baba.”
Disha's unwavering thirst for knowledge slowly begins to change her mother’s heart. One day,
Usha sheds her rigid beliefs and decides to support her daughter’s dream of education.
That’s when Disha finds her true “direction” and takes flight toward a new life.
