Synopsis
The film immerses the viewer in an alternative oil-punk reality, where heavy industry collides with the oppressive silence of the ocean depths.
It follows the commander of a deep-sea diving crew maintaining an offshore oil platform. Haunted by memories of a past he cannot forgive himself for, the protagonist faces a new challenge that forces him to confront not only the abyss beneath his feet but also the weight of his own conscience.
Tools and Workflow
The core visual generation was performed with Midjourney as the primary image visualizer, enhanced by Imagen 4 for refinement and finalized in Photoshop.
References were developed using Runway Reference, Omni Reference Midjourney, and Nana Banana.
The main video generation was created in Kling 2.1 and Kling Master, with additional animations produced in Runway, Seedance 1.0 Pro, Pixverse, Veo 3, and Wan 2.2.
Editing and visual effects were completed in DaVinci Resolve, sound design in Pro Tools and Avid, color correction in DaVinci, and post-production compositing in Nuke.
Final mastering was completed in DaVinci Resolve.
The film features a composition by Zack Hemsey, used under a special festival license personally granted by the artist. I have been in direct contact with Mr. Hemsey and can provide the license document upon request.
