In the quiet seaside resort of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a Philadelphia Fentanyl addict, named Mandy, finds refuge: in a last rush of reason, the young woman decides to totally change her life for love of her child of a few years. He steals $2,000 from his dealer and flees 500 miles away. But criminal world’s rules are merciless. The dealer’s henchman, known as Skippy, puts a dangerous female-killer on the girl’s trail, who significantly responds to the threatening name of Black Betty. This rough woman has the task of extorting from Mandy the stolen bucks, behind the concrete threat to eliminate the child.
It turns out that the stolen drug-boss is one of the worst elements of crime in Philadelphia: he decides to leave for Myrtle Beach to handle this matter directly.
Myrtle Beach operates a joint FBI-South Carolina State Police team, created to discreetly but firmly control that the lives of tourists and citizens are not threatened by the sale of fentanyl, placed under the command of Captain Saundra Phillips.
