"Emotional Catharsis" is an animated short film that depicts the creator’s emotional state during their studies and life in Taiwan. Each day feels as if it is copy-pasted and repeated, while loneliness from being away from home, along with regret over loss and missed opportunities, gradually weighs the protagonist down until they can barely breathe.

The story centers on the protagonist moving between a repressive daily life and their inner world. Through dreamlike scenes and imagery, it portrays their journey from loss and self-doubt to learning how to “keep moving forward with pain.”

The act of creation itself becomes their most important emotional outlet, as well as a starting point for facing themselves again and attempting to reconnect with others.
