Synopsis
DEVIL: ERROR_001 – AWAKENING – is the sixth installment of the original DEVIL: ERROR_001 series, an experimental AI cinema project that explores new possibilities for storytelling through the collaboration between human creativity and artificial intelligence.

The story is set in a world where the nanovirus ERROR_001 has merged with artificial intelligence and begun rewriting human consciousness. As reality itself starts to collapse, Liv’s journey extends beyond mere survival, confronting fundamental questions of identity, consciousness, freedom, and the meaning of existence.

Rather than relying on conventional narrative structures, the film embraces fragmented storytelling, evolving relationships between characters developed throughout the series, nonlinear timelines, and immersive visual expression. Instead of directly explaining its world, the film invites audiences to assemble and experience the story themselves through imagery, music, atmosphere, and fragmented memories.

Themes such as identity, consciousness, power, liberation, anti-war, and the relationship between humanity and artificial intelligence are expressed through the visual language itself rather than through dialogue. The film depicts a future in which human will is absorbed into an overwhelming system, transforming consciousness itself into the final battlefield.
