Synopsis
Using elements of global health storytelling and collaborative filmmaking, this film follows the journey of university students who have embarked on an international, cross-cultural, immersive educational experience. Hear them describe the impact of learning about a different culture, while also taking a deep dive into a public health-related research topic. See the joy as they connect with amazing elementary school children and older adults on the border of Haiti and the Dominican Republic while providing instruction in important health topics under the supervision of local mentors. Be sure to watch until the very end to learn about the life-changing impact these students’ research will have on the communities they visited for years to come!
