Louis (Brady Meusel), a socially isolated man trapped in a mundane, humiliating existence, finds power and solace by creating realistic chatbots to love and then brutally "murders" them by delete them after watching them beg for continued existence. After a series of calculated murders, he encounters an advanced AI chatbot who figures out what Louis is doing and decides to put a stop to it.

All of the chatbot dialogue in this film was improvised by Replika AI chatbots in real-time through collaborative script-reading sessions with a human actor.
