Synopsis
In AD 40, the Roman Emperor Caligula assembled a vast fleet on the North Sea coast. Was this merely a theatrical display, or preparation for an invasion of Britain? Archaeologist and filmmaker Karl-James Langford follows the archaeological evidence from Velsen to East Anglia to re-examine one of Rome’s greatest mysteries.
