Giorgio lives a monotonous life punctuated by his work. One morning, while he's making tea, a whistling sound accompanies him through his routine. Initially almost imperceptible, the sound grows so loud that it becomes an invasive presence that prevents him from concentrating and living peacefully. After an exhausting day spent searching for a cure, Giorgio finds refuge in the water: when he dips his head into the tub, the whistling fades until it disappears. The quiet, however, is short-lived, and while he's eating dinner, the whistling returns, more deafening than before. Giorgio, after a sleepless night, follows an impulse and heads for the lake that's his computer background. Immersed in the water, he finds a sense of freedom he hasn't felt in a long time. Even there, it's short-lived, and the whistling, in the very place that seemed to be saving him, slowly resurfaces.
