Finding Goldfinger is an inspiring true story spanning two generations, following the extraordinary life of Pierre François Joubert., a dreamer whose unwavering determination was forged through childhood adventure, family hardship and an unshakable belief that the impossible could be achieved.

Set against the landscape of 1950s to 1980s South Africa, Pierre and his inseparable friends embrace life with infectious curiosity, transforming ordinary moments into unforgettable adventures through Sea Scouts, dance, exploration and mischievous escapades. Beneath the humour and nostalgia, however, lies a family quietly shaped by the struggles of mental illness, personal sacrifice and the resilience required to keep moving forward during an era when emotional suffering was rarely understood or spoken about.

As Pierre matures, his fascination with ships, engineering and the legendary wreck of HMS Birkenhead becomes the foundation of a dream that many dismiss as impossible. Refusing to surrender to doubt, ridicule or adversity, he embarks on a journey that will test his courage, his friendships and the perseverance that has defined his life since childhood.

At its heart, Finding Goldfinger is a moving celebration of hope, family, friendship and the quiet strength of those who endure life's greatest struggles in silence. It is a story about resilience, legacy and the extraordinary things ordinary people can achieve when they refuse to let hardship define them.
