My Childhood Tune
2025
Refrenul copilăriei
Short
Synopsis
The film portrays glimpses of the “ordinary,” real life of a family in a provincial Romanian town in 1985.
The protagonist, a five-year-old girl, does not know what a totalitarian regime is and does not understand the absurdity of the world she lives in. Therefore, her world cannot be gray and rigid, nor dominated by fear.
With a father who is a militia colonel and a grandfather who secretly listens to the banned radio station—Voice of America—the little girl’s innocent games put her family in danger.
