We meet River at home in her city apartment. Her long distance
partner, Dawn, is away firefighting and staying in a remote cabin.
They can only communicate through CB radios.
River wants to go out and enjoy life and not feel like she’s trapped in a relationship with a machine.
We are visiting a surreal world and our guide is The Sharply Dressed Man. The third and final of our cast of characters, he speaks directly to us, and brings us through this exploration of miscommunication. Away in her secluded forest, Dawn is alone, and isolated, and in denial. She uses the distortion of the radio as an excuse to ignore what is really happening: being broken up with.
