A theatrical narrative short film, NU9VE follows Camila, a mother navigating the chaotic emotional landscape of motherhood, identity, guilt, desire, and anxiety. Through surreal memories, dark humor, performance art, and fragmented moments from her life, Camila confronts the beauty and contradictions of becoming a mother in a society filled with rigid expectations about womanhood.

The film marks the first installment in a nine-part short film anthology series produced by Half and Half Agency, Federico Pereáñez, Paula Vergara and Camila Ariza, and directed by Paula Vergara. Each entry in the anthology represents the distinct societal, cultural, and personal life paths of nine different mothers. Inspired by the play Pierna Arriba by Camila Ariza, NU9VE blends theatrical staging, nostalgic visual worlds, and emotional confession into an intimate, uncompromising portrait of modern motherhood.
