Blue Memories is a self-portrait docu-fiction that combines live-action and animation to trace the impact of a childhood memory on a woman’s life. An innocent question about a sound heard in an old photograph lingers in the narrator’s mind for years.

While caring for her father after open-heart surgery, she finds the chance to revisit that unanswered question. The film explores themes such as solitude, overlooked childhood, and a teenage pregnancy resulting from a forced marriage.

With the discovery of another photograph, a long silence finally finds its voice.
