Synopsis

Terefu and her 8 adult children, all Ethiopian Jews, have lived in Israel since 1992, when we first met, and I photographed their journey. They speak about their religious and cultural lives in the West, as well as memories of Ethiopia. The children have all assimilated, however, Terefu remains as if still living in Ethiopia.
