Big Waters
2019
Documentary
Synopsis
Big Waters is an exploration of creativity and the transformation that comes with it. It focuses on the inner obstacles of the main subject Eteri and the filmmaker herself; both going through the process of creation. Eteri is challenged by the filmmaker to produce something artistic with the help of Gwen, an Expressive Arts Therapist. Throughout the film we see the difficulties that prevent her from expressing herself, being open and free with the media. While Eteri struggles to complete a painting, the filmmaker finds herself in a similar situation trying to finish this documentary. Their experiences cross paths and this film becomes more insightful than it was ever intended to be.
