Synopsis
A publicity film. It shows the many attractions of Southport for the tourist: the Marine Parks, Lord Street (shots of the War Memorial, the Gardens and the Municipal Building which are all in Lord Street), the Garrick Theatre, horse riding on the beach, golf, bowls, Hesketh Park (featuring the Meteorological Observatory and the Aviary), the Floral Hall; a long sequence inside the Floral Hall. We see the entrance hall and cashier's box, then the dance floor, where Arthur Jacobson's Broadcasting Band are playing, then the tables beside the floor where waitresses are serving; general shots of the band and the dancers.
