He is not only working on his first novel for adults, he additionally chose for a very controversial subject. In this novel “My Mister” an autobiographical story, he describes a radical and comprehensive event from his childhood, namely his relationship as a 10 year old boy, with a 29 year old man. During the production of “My Mister”, van Lieshout gives Arno Kranenborg the opportunity to come close during this laborious process and the discussions with family and friends.

When the bin is full, the crematorium worker takes it home ... At his balcony, he grows tomatoes which need fertilizer. When the crematorium worker sells them, he assures customers that his product is ecologically clean.
