Goddess is an experimental short film which uses family archive footage and electroacoustic music creating a dialogue between reality and myth.

Joaquin (11) lives with his grandmother into Tenglo Island. Each day he prepares breakfast and gives her her medication. One day, they run out of medecine, and the little boy has to go buy drugs in the city. Joaquin runs long trails, forests and beaches to reach the boat and cross to Puerto Montt. There he realizes that he lost his money and continues to the city. Under the pressure and rhythm of the environment, the child after passing through several pharmacies, innocently decides to rob one, without worrying of what he steels. Finally he runs to the safety that the island gives.

Single channel video projection, 2005. "It’s rather cold today." Grandad goes for a hiking tour with his grandsons. Nine days earlier they buried his wife, grandma: at that time too these 3 men walked like this next to each other, behind her coffin. They pass a long wall in an old oak wood until they reach the open field again. The spectator can tune in to their conversation. The old man has a lot of memories; the young men look ahead. It is obvious that their patterns of life are different but they complement each other, their lives are interwoven. Their connection and friendship are conveyed by the humour and lightness of their conversation. They each have their own pace; they don’t walk synchronously; none of them sets the rhythm, the dynamics occur naturally through their kinship. That ancient chemistry holds these three men together as allies, surrounded by an invisible magnetic field, as they journey through the forest.

A group of children hold hands in a circle. The child in the middle plays the lamb, the one outside is the wolf. The wolf tries to catch the lamb by breaking through the human fence, but the kids crouch quickly down, blocking him with lowered arms. If the wolf does breach the circle, the lamb can duck out of it, while the kids now try to keep the wolf imprisoned inside. At times the cheeky lamb provokes the wolf, rushing out of safety almost into his path and darting back in. The lamb may be caught, ending that round of the game, inside or outside the fold; but these kids prefer close shaves, the dramatic prolongation of suspense.
