Roundtrip is a three-minute film that documents two train journeys (from New York City to Montreal, and back again) undertaken by Leonard and his partner in the fall of 2014. Through the consistent use of a split-screen, the two journeys can be observed side-by-side, unfolding in parallel within the film’s vertically divided frame. The purpose of the trip was to visit the father of Leonard’s partner in hospital where he was receiving a kidney transplant from his own sister. While this background information is not made available to viewers of the film, it constitutes the hidden narrative center of the film which is further mirrored in the work’s formal concern with questions of division and unity.

From the Heart of Brahma is the story of Prumsodun Ok, a Cambodian Classical Dancer focused on reviving and revitalizing his chosen art form nearly destroyed by genocide. His work as Associate Artistic Director of Khmer Arts Academy centers on reviving the traditional form while his interdisciplinary work revitalizes Cambodian Classical Dance in an effort to make it relevant in our contemporary society. Prum's work can be very controversial as he uses gay semi-nude bodies in traditional dances like Robam Apsara, a dance seen by many as the national dance of Cambodia. From the Heart of Brahma exposes Prum's missions to open dialogue about the role of tradition and gay love in modernity and follows him as he shares his art internationally.

Through interviews with rugby players, the film tries to break the stereotypes society has of the gay world, about the absence of openly homosexual players in sports teams and the idea that gay men do not take on sporting roles because they are not manly enough.

Soon after, Justin betrays Matt to purposefully infect another person; when Matt is confronted with this he has to choose if he will stay or go; even though Justin's own prerogative is to push Matt away and force him to leave. The situation becomes more complicated when the man whom Justin infected comes back into the picture.

Goodbye Pig

Goodbye Pig / Goodbye Phil / Goodbye Sweet Things that Once Were. A reminiscence of an unknowable past. An homage to "'pigfill" aka "slug," a reinvented film, an invented manner of preservation. A found footage film constructed almost entirely of decayed/abused fill. The fill—once spliced into 16mm magnetic audio tracks of another film—had been stored in a wet basement. Water damage had caused the two to stick together. I was asked to replace the fill in order to transfer the audio to a digital medium for preservation purposes. I removed and spliced the bits of discarded picture together and projected it in an effort to gain some understanding of the original footage. Later I reprinted it, via the optical printer, fascinated by the bits of picture/past left unobscured by the residual blotches of mag, and in doing so I literally watched its continued demise; its further fall into chaos. Over a three year period Sarah logs video diary entries that chronicle her feelings dealing with homophobia, self image and dreams of a record deal. As a child Sarah often wondered why she felt like a boy in a girl's body. Candid conversations with Sarah and her teenage friends give the viewer an intimate glimpse into the experience of coming out as a gay teenager.

Wes Kimbark is an attorney seeking justice when a college student commits suicide after being forcibly outed as a straight. The particulars of the case give Kimbark the courage to come out of the closet as straight himself, an action that proves to be dangerous for him both professionally and personally.

This is a short movie about the current situation where these waters are contaminated by radiation from the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011. And it is the work which found hope to people planting rice with lovers.
