He goes to meet Claudia in hopes to remember old times and as a present, brings with him a fragment of the film. Not remembering Avelino she takes him for an admirer and autographs the celluloid. Avelino’s boss fires him for stealing part of the film and Avelino realizes time has passed and he hasn’t achieved anything. Along with MARCEL (22), his disciple, he films and inserts himself into the movie to relive his past, but the projection ends and Avelino has to face reality.
