Considering the fourth wall of fiction as an ideal lens through which to see life, the cartoon moves between the banality of consumer moroseness and the capitalist fantasy in which aesthetics, music, and fashion determine value and meaning. The scenes unfold like a serialized cartoon, aiming to subtly present an altogether different thesis than this form commonly offers or promotes.

Screens naturally flicker, at a rate too quick for our eyes to perceive but one that can be captured by a camera. This video confuses the medium of the computer screen with that of film, employing the classic avant-garde film strategy of flicker.

Shot in London in the underpass the connects the IMAX theater to Waterloo station, "Waterloo" is part of a series of recent works that explore the limits of digital capture by setting up a series of formal parameters and then letting them play themselves out (almost) automatically in relation to randomizing elements. The capture rate is set at one frame per second, though sound is recorded in real time. Focus, exposure, and effective shutter speed are allowed to float and respond eccentrically to changing light levels, focal distances, and color temperatures in ways that produce a free play between figuration and abstraction. However, despite the abstract, painterly, and conceptual character of these images, the work is meant to be understood as a document responding to specific landscapes, situations, movements, trajectories, and durations.

On the Way to the Moon, We Discovered the Earth is a historical remix of the New York Times newspaper printed during the New York City Blackout in 1977. The 1977 Blackout is unofficially credited with the formal birth of hip-hop, a movement that was already well underway but advanced with equipment looted during the riots.

An experimental fiction cut into six distinct parts that present the feeling of love as “precarious” fragments of identity. The ambition of these fragments is to retranscribe the personal affect of the film author as much as the more general one of a collective and common imaginary.

Eventually the priests separate and Rodrigues travels the countryside, wondering why God remains silent while His children suffer.“ I love this movie since i found this text! And i wanted to translate this story to an abstract short avantgarde film. I was inspired by the paintings of Sanchez Cotan, who lived in this time the story is located. I want to show the develpoment of the emotions of the two priests. The drama is, that everything can be excused in the catholoic church. Except the Apostasia - the doubt to the faith in God. You can steel, murder or lie. You go to confession and everything is forgotten. But doubting is unforgivable.

How do younger queers who have never known a world without AIDS, including the accompanying prevention and treatment strategies that have been popularized over the last two decades, relate to the history of the epidemic and to those that managed to survive its earlier conditions? This is the central question that motivates this project’s focus on the HIV/AIDS epidemic and how its meaning has shifted and changed along generational lines.
