Christopher and Timothy meet and decide to form a gay folk band to gig around London. While they are rehearsing they compose an album of music and create several music videos to promote the band. However, they are unable to secure any other members and, slowly, they begin to run out of steam.

They come from Romanian villages and the slums of Skopje: legendary Roma orchestras from Eastern Europe, singers and brass bands from the Balkans.

GIRI CHIT tells a tale of the subtle trace of irreconcilable worlds. A worker driving a mobile sweeper in hypnotic circles across an already immaculate surface. The high drama of cosplay aficionados clamoring to be seen. A cast of thousands toiling hundreds of feet above the street. Giri translates as ‘duty’ in Japanese, but the concept is in fact far more complicated. Giri is a sort of interpersonal political capital that informs careers, family relations, and much more. Its presence and flow is palpable in Japan, where this film was shot. A “giri chit” then may be a hypothetical voucher for this intangible flow (with a tip of the cap to Thomas Pynchon’s “Vineland”). On the 6th November 2007, High Speed 1 (HS1) was delivered to the nation. Britain had finally got its first new railway for over a century, and was fully connected to the rapidly expanding European high-speed rail network.

The Association for the Recovery of the Historical Memory of Valladolid develops the project "All the names", which has as one of its main objectives the location and recovery of the bodies of all those Valladolid citizens murdered by Franco's repression.

This documentary thoroughly examines America's greatest urban legend, John Titor, a self-proclaimed time traveler from the year 2036, and the many prophecies he left behind. In addition, the film also explores the future prophecies he left behind with experts.

A brief trip to the Miami '09 art festival was the moving (or swimming) force to instigate this travelogue. There are some bathing sequences sprinkled about and lots of munching going on in this latest addition to my Christmas video series. There's even a Santa Claus figure trodding across sand instead of snow; but don't let that dismaying personage in shades of gray discolor an otherwise plentiful poo-poo platter of pulchritude.

This video diary/travelogue centers on a tropical trip to Acapulco where yours truly hits both sand and surf with maximum impact. The actual movie that's being documented throughout this video bit the dust via a hard-drive malfunction, so this is almost all that remains (so far) of the doomed yet enjoyable venture. We all donned bathing suits and splashed our way through heaven and hell as Miguel Calderon directs the cursed venture in skimpy attire amid other scantily clad examples of electro-graphic expertise. Come on: bring the lubricant and join this motley crew of Mexican magnificence as they bask their beauty in the rays of merciless magic that rain down on our parade.

A small steppe town in the Volga region. Old wooden houses in the center, rotting Khrushchev on the outskirts. Provincial boredom and hopelessness are opposed by two people, an Orthodox priest and a choir director, she is also a Sunday school teacher. The situation might seem normal, if not for one circumstance. The priest is a Frenchman, a former Catholic monk who converted to Orthodoxy. The regent is an Englishwoman, a philologist, and a former Protestant. They are in love with Russia and believe that it is here that they have found their place on Earth.

Zimnik is a temporary road formed when the river freezes. But for the heroes of the film, the local residents, strong and stubborn men, this is a life-long road.

In Tsirk, student clown Alexei is our guide to the State School for Circus and Variety Arts, in Moscow. It's a shabby relic of a vast Soviet circus system instituted to entertain the masses and spread propaganda. While Alexei hones his pratfalls, the committed and underpaid staff remember better, but less free, days.

A film about a selfless and enthusiastic person Evgeny Leonidovich Gloriozov, a five-time USSR champion in sambo and a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, who has been holding sambo sports competitions among children from orphanages for many years.

Xenia’s adult life was certain to be bright and happy. Academy of Fine Arts, playing in theatre, friends, admirers, and first love were there in her life. As she plunged in her feelings, she did not even realize that she was about to follow a path of temptation and suffering. Everything she holds precious — friends and her future fame as an actress — is sacrificed to drugs. Atonement is soon to follow: she finds out she is HIV-positive, her father dies, and her mother has a car accident… There seems to be no power, which could save her. However, the discovery of the faith, the self-sacrifice of her mother and the courage of her friend help her come back to life. The film is shot in the genre of docudrama in a modern and dynamic style and is sure to attract wide audience.

Images – derived from the Prelinger Archive – of people doing office work (mainly women), are mixed with lines from heavily redacted FBI files full of suspicious, paranoid notations. A story of patriarchal surveillance is suggested, but the soul of Battle’s film is elsewhere: in the strange, spooky glow that emanates from filing cabinets, or the animated birds that pass freely from one screen to another. A piece based on the artist’s intimate obsession with the serial killer Dennis Nilsen. Over the last fifteen years Bladh has investigated the uncanny likeness in Nilsen’s romantic fantasy world to that of his own, and by using the killer as a persona – a Hyde Double – aimed to uncover new depths and unlock unknown extremes within himself.

The film is an observation of activities in Maine. One Town, Portland is celebrating "First Friday Art Walk" where people go to the museum and art galleries. The second town, Belfast is celebrating the boat launching of three rebuilt sailboats. By using a small digital camera, people are canidly recorded talking and eating at a restaurant, viewing artwork, and just walking about town.
