INTERVAL II explores our transient relationship with the built environment through the juxtaposition of two contrasting types of architecture: a cast-iron pier in Northwest England and a rammed-earth roundhouse in Southwest China. Chan uses time-lapse to accentuate the transitory movement of light over the structures, highlighting their physical form within the altered landscape. Shifting from micro to macro, she investigates traces of human presence within the buildings, as well as the social and cultural shifts within the respective societies. The atmospheric soundtrack combines ambient field recordings including conversations, songs, traffic and natural sounds with old recordings of her grandmother's Hakka songs.

The film captures Patrick's amazing journey to the top hierarchy of the Catholic Church, becoming one of the most influential Latino leaders in the United States.

Filmmaker Daniel Vernon follows the veteran escapologist Ron Cunningham(The Great Omani) for more than five years and the result is this poignant documentary about the great entertainer. In the final years of his life, Cunningham was a shadow of his former self, being career by his limelight hating son who got roped into helping his father with stunts over the many decades. Ron is battling cancer and is also partly wheelchair-bound by a series of strokes. However, this remarkable man continued to perform with specially choreographed routines which saw him set himself alight and shower himself in glass. Two years before his death, he was still as fired up as ever and preparing himself for one final ‘farewell’ stunt.
