Lot's Wife is a modern day tale of Sodom and Gomorrah set in a shantytown located on the outskirts of Istanbul, Turkey. Mehmet is a young hardworking guy who lives in a small house that belongs to his uncle Seyfeddin. Unbeknownst to Seyfeddin, Mehmet is living with his lover Ali. On one summer day, Seyfeddin along with his wife Meryem, and two brothers, Hidir and Mikail barge into Mehmet's apartment, threatening to destroy everything he hopes for and had created with Ali so far.

HE WAY HE ALWAYS WANTED IT II, 2008, is a 35mm film, shot at Ford House, a Bruce Goff-designed home in Aurora, Illinois, with a musical score derived from fragments of music written by Goff before he abandoned music composition at the age of thirty, with the defense that there were fewer great modern architects than composers so that he would have a better chance at leaving his mark as an architect.

The Innocents

Part of Bill Viola’s Transfiguration series, The Innocents explores the presence of the dead in the world of the living. The video documents a boy and a girl who slowly approach out of the darkness and into the light. Shown on separate screens, they break through what is, at first, an invisible threshold of water, suggestive of a passage from the spiritual world into a physical plane of existence. Once incarnate, however, all beings realize that their presence is finite, and so the figures eventually turn away from material existence to return from whence they came.
