A beautiful documentary film about the Noh stages, juxtaposing the Noh Performance and the interview with the master Shoroku Sekine and his son Yoshito Sekine. The Sekine family belongs to the Kanze School and they always respect to the traditions not only on the Noh stage but also in their daily lives.

Cemeteries are not only places for the dead. They are also spaces in which the living interact with each other – and with the dead. “Cultivating Death” depicts the different ways in which bereaved people remember and commemorate their deceased family members and friends, by visiting and tending their graves at a Victorian cemetery in London. It is a common belief in the West that the bereaved have to ‘let go’ and ‘get over the loss’ of their deceased kin, in order to return to a ‘normal’ life. In contrast to these cultural norms, many survivors maintain strong social relationships with their dead. “Cultivating Death” portrays some visitors of Kensal Green Cemetery in West-London, as they actively sustain these continuing bonds by arranging and tending the graves of their deceased, talking to them and bringing them gifts. They thereby speak frankly about this important aspect of their mourning for which the cemetery constitutes a unique environment.

A nocturnal journey through the English countryside is imagined through the lenses of a succession of CCTV cameras. The work sleepwalks through a series of empty lanes and meadows, and a sense that all is well with the world prevails until the eerie emptiness of a dual carriageway shifts the mood from benign slumber to postapocalyptic anxiety. In Dream of Silk, director Nahid Rezai returns to her all-girls high school twenty-five years later to explore the lives of young girls in contemporary Tehran. In this candid exploration of their dreams and hopes, the girls are at times shockingly open, often sweet, and occasionally sad as they talk about the future.

The bear, tied tightly, sitting in the snow, begins to dream. It's minus twenty outside, the icy wind blows the snow. In the street, Muscovites sell shoes, a dog and a monkey are sturdily dressed, the escalator takes us out of the metro while others swim in a steaming outdoor pool. Sometimes, to make a living, people dress up as clowns or wolves to lure passers-by into stores. The wolf gives the narrator his phone number. He is young and his name is Ilia Krone. His mouth is the same shape as hers like a perfect harmony. Moscow seems empty to him when he is away. "He has a head for wanting to come to France" a friend told him. Besides, things don't get better with time. Moscow is a city where it is said that the colder it is, the more people start to lie.

The 'tragedy competition' was the first part the Greek dramatic competitions where the playwrights at the time competed with each other. This video production of 'Tragedy Competition' introduces 11 actors: each of them is placed in a made-up situation with which they must figure out a way to deal with their own interpretation. It is up to the actors to stay within the situation or leave, but the last actor to continue to speak and cry becomes the winner of the competition. The whole production is unrehearsed and is filmed in real time.

Ten Men shows a series of prisoners flexing their muscles and flaunting their tattoos for the camera, but also smiling in embarrassment and looking away in hope of solidarity. The film leaves us wondering which of the prisoners are brutal criminals and which are simply victims of society
