The distortion of the universe revives the great emperor Zolder. Zolder sends space beasts as assassins to invade Earth. One after another, people's souls are pulled out and sacrificed... One day after such an incident, the owner, Mai Tenkuji (Rena Sugimoto), is given the power of light by an alien and gains the ability to transform into a Cosmo Angel. Now the battle between light and darkness was about to begin.

Nezhad is fourteen years old and both of his parents have passed away. He is forced to leave school and take care of the family. To earn a living, he decides to smuggle goods across the Iranian-Iraqi border with his mule. One day, however, the mule breaks a leg.

On a sunny day and like every afternoon, Omar joins Tchato, Moulay and Fouad on the pier of the port of Oran. Witness to a transaction between a drug trafficker and a sailor, Fouad warns his friends. Moulay and Tchato decide to seize the opportunity to make their dream come true: going to France. With the help of Omar and Fouad, they blackmail the sailor who gives in to their demands. On the evening of departure, Tchato is trapped by his ambiguity.

Zaza, a kid from a family who have recently immigrated to Israel, steals money from his parents' closet. Zara wants to buy a card for his album collection, like all the other children in the area. His father refuses to accept such behaviour from a member of the family and wants Zara to confess. To test Zaza's conscience he is forced to punish Zara's younger brother Dato.

The theme of Nika Papadopulosová's graduation film Polednice is a ballad from the collection Kytice by Karel Jaromír Erben. The author avoids illustrative processing of the classic theme and presents its contemporary interpretation, for which she uses progressive digital technology. Actress Monika Načeva, in the role of the mother of a naughty child, moves in the virtual environment of a futuristic kitchen, where she copes with the choice between maternal duties and the entertainment of the virtual world. In contrast to the fantastic scenography and music by Jan P. Muchov, actress Jaroslava Adamová recites the traditional wording of the ballad. A professional film crew consisting of cameraman Asen Šopov, sound engineer Ondřej Ježek and producer Martin Kořínek participated in the production of the film, and the post-production of the work was carried out in the graphic studio of Nova Television.

Michaela Grill's visual work makes use of a concrete wall as the smallest identifiable element of urban music culture which forms a space. The visual organization of this barely recognizable representational surface is resolved through Takeshi Fumimoto's musical structure. The images illustrate neither the tone nor the rhythm; they follow the logic of the acoustic blueprint to create new forms of hearing through the processing of the found sounds. The camera makes a parallel searching movement along the rough surface. The images, which cannot be isolated, resist a representational aesthetic, and fleeting spatial landscapes and forms which illustrate non-repeatability and improvisation appear in the tension between concentration on the cracks and fractures and the camera's movement across them. Reduction to the plastic and sensorial basis sensitizes the viewer's gaze by making the structure comprehensible.

"Målle Lindberg - clown or prophet?" - About the evangelist and singer Målle Lindberg, a.k.a. the Gypsy Preacher. The film depicts parts of his life with archive footage from the 1950's and 1960's.

Mémoire(s), Gérard Cairaschi's new video, continues the work started in 1996 with the video installation ‘Quinaé’. Here again we find a predilection for images where nature and characters are as many references to the History of art (painting in particular) and to our common and individual story (myths, religions, literature, cinema...). An interlacing of images and a luminous vibration that both invade us and make a whole world in creation emerge - or reappear - from our retina and memory.

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, is a small steel town on Lake Superior. Bob Goddere is an openly gay man who has lived there for years and hosts dances for the local gay and lesbian community in his basement. This is his story and the story of what gay-life in one small Canadian town is like.

The film tells the story of two young assassins' first assignments. The mysterious contractor wants his wife dead. The task seems easy, but the abandoned house of the victim's father hides terrible secrets. Vampires, monsters, and other delicacies. The two cheerful newcomers get into big trouble, but eventually the truth comes out.

Lesson 9 is a short film about the loss of a lover to insanity. Part horror story, noir-like mystery and disaster film, Lesson 9 weaves together shards of a narrative that has been shattered like excerpts from the journal of a lover gone mad. A disaster movie after the disaster, the film uses three different definitions of possession to form its thematic structure and to explore love, loss, sexuality and insanity.

Laugh In the Dark takes us into the heart of “queer family values” with an odd little wagon train of “six fags, two dykes and an old lady” who pull into the dilapidated town of Crystal Beach, Ontario in the early l980s. The “boys” dream of restoring this former resort town to its earlier glory, with a twist. They open a B&B, and stage lavish cabarets, complete with lip synching drag queens, to raise money for early AIDS awareness.

Visually poetic, this video diary explores the artists reunion with his family and his culture after years of separation.

Wayang Golék is the rod-puppet theater of Sunda (West Java), Indonesia, which incorporates a vibrant mixture of storytelling, songs, and instrumental music. This program introduces the Wayang Golék tradition, focusing on puppeteer, musician, and puppet-maker Atik Rasta and his family. The first part of the video features footage from an all-night performance, interwoven with interviews with the artists. The second part examines the music of the accompanying gamelan ensemble.

Filmed in a remote Zen temple in the Japanese Alps. The images start with the magnificent mountains, before descending to one of the cities and then on into the monastery, where we follow the highly ritualised lives of the monks and nuns. Besides the landscapes, there are some truly memorable scenes, like the monastics on alms round, the unrolling of the scriptures, and even the taking of a meal, all of which become slightly surreal under the watchful eye of the camera.
