This is the story that a young man tells his friend while spending the night in a mountain refuge, as a horde of undead creatures rushes towards them, awakened by the incantations of the demon Egrezebel.

Last King Standing is a short film project that was assessed as part of the Rosny College Media Production Film And Television course in 1998.

Past associations are triggered in a reverie of trepidation and longing, as a woman, alone in a room, listens to another woman's voice on a tape recording. Reflecting back on itself, the film reinvokes its former fragments in a panic of sexual identity. (AFW program notes)

Tiger Bram, the king of the jungle, is looking to get even with the little mouse-deer, having been tricked one too many times by her.

Throughout this collaboratively conceived and realized work, visual and musical patterns «chase» each other, «dance», interwine, pull apart and come back together in long swirling arcs and patterns. The animated imagery was originally hand-inscribed on 35mm motion picture film stock using paints and markers. These «direct animation» images subsequently were transformed by video and digital processing, and creatively edited to «activate» and intensify the original animation of colorful, abstract moving forms. Many of the sound sources were derived from computer analysis, resynthesis and transformations of Western, African and Asian acoustic sounds. Principal software, employed on SGI computers at the Eastman Computer Music Computer, included Csound (Vercoe) and score 11 (Brinkman), rt (Lansky), SMS (Serra), various linear prediction programs and utilities, and algorithmic compositional software written by the composer that generate note or event streams based and permutations.

Documentary about the Amsterdam punk scene in the 1980's. As a boy of thirteen, the filmmaker Alfred B. Broer (1966) threw off the yoke of his strict Protestant family and turned into a punk rocker. At that time - in the later seventies - the Amsterdam rock temple Paradiso was the venue where he met with other youths from very different backgrounds. The Punk scene rebelled against everything that had been established in clothing and behaviour, with a bent towards self-destruction and music as binding elements. From 1980 onwards, the Amsterdam photographer Max Natkiel photographed the young visitors to Paradiso and recorded this in Paradiso Stills. This album motivated Broer's search for his former friends. Interviews, old video footage and the photos from the album form the quest for the short and sharp friendships of the past. What did Punk have to offer them? And what happened to the friends?

Documentary short film from 1998. The film is about twin sisters Dafeng and Xiaofeng, whose mother died when they were born. The sisters were raised by their aunt and uncle. When Dafeng and Xiaofeng were two years old, their biological father filed a lawsuit in court to have them returned to his custody. Regarding the issue of the attribution of Dafeng and Xiaofeng, the original defendants did not give in to each other in court. In the case of ineffective mediation, the court made another final judgment.
