Over 300 educational and training film prints culled from the RMIT library are compressed and wrestled into an emblematically luminous archive of odd sorts.

Call it acting or prostitution; the phone sex phenomenon reflects the darker side of the telemarketing industry. From the absurd to the disturbing. Mind Fuck is a brave foray into the strange and fascinating psychological world of phone sex in which the real operators, normally stuck on the receiving end of the line, finally get to freely speak their mind.

Kakeru Noyama falls in love at first sight with Mai, a girl who gives a man a spectacular slap in the park. Her friend Miki is worried about the outspoken but inactive girl, but her expectations are defied and her romance takes a sudden turn for the better. One day, however, he sees her toasting a Coke with a guy. 'Who is that guy?' Later, he sees Mai chewing gum with a different man in a friendly manner, and when he sees her smoking a cool cigarette with another man. Miki gives the example of herself and her boyfriend Akira and urges him to pursue the truth. Finally, Kakeru takes action... The elation that love has started. The fear that their relationship might end if she hears this. The film rhythmically conveys these feelings with rapid-fire dialogue and boldly cut images. The character of the protagonist, who is timid, hot-blooded and gentle, honestly embodies the confusion of people in love.

What goes through someone's mind 13 seconds before they die? A town lost in the year 40. Different characters in their common actions. Two men lying in the street, one dead, the other playing dead. Between reality and the delusions of his mind we travel through his last thirteen seconds of life.

At the end of autumn, the first Vyatka's farmers Alexander Leonidovich and Raisa Nikiforovna Orlovsky will arrive at their former estate to say goodbye forever to the farm, where they spent the best and most difficult years of their lives. Years of litigation with a neighboring collective farm led to the decline of their family farm. The attempt of the children of Alexei, Nadezhda and Tatyana to revive life on the farm failed, and the younger Orlovskys are forced to finally move to the city. It is not easy for former farmers to find themselves in a city life that is alien to them. The farm still remains a place where they were truly happy.

The criminal Clay has to take the cheeky Fiona hostage in order to survive a dangerous drug deal. They flee to Fiona's apartment. There Clay discovers several dead men and quickly finds his life in danger...

Lost in a beachhouse, Rodrigo searches in his memory for the romance he lived the previousnight with a woman, and how to find her.

On the one side Vertigo Bird reveals completely personal attitude of Kovač toward the real ambience of his native town, while on the other the artistic articulations give his attitude broader connotations and develops it into a poetical structure of perception of the real world. Kovač places a group of dancers in this space of man’s activity, whose decline is a historical necessity.

In Sangha, through the window of her house, Germaine greets Djamgouno, her main informant. He then translates for her a conversation she has with a half-blind old man. She recounts her memories of a past party at which Amadigné worked with her as an informant. Later, in front of the cliff, Germaine, Djamgouno and Pangalé are sitting on rocks, and Germaine talks about the many caves that can be visited by climbing small spelunking ladders. Rouch intervenes during the interview, asking the protagonists about the settlement of the cliff by the Dogon, who learned from the Tellem how to climb the cliff. Rouch then asks about the Tellem's predecessors who lived there 2,400 years ago. Germaine admits the ignorance of researchers on the subject, and Rouch concludes by joking about the new task that now falls to Germaine Dieterlen.

This is an attempt at bringing together a selection of the stories and paintings of the Warlis, and some of the writings about them. To the Warlis, a community of Adivasis (indigenous peoples), who live close to Bombay, these stories represent their history, their world-view. All the outsiders, the Portuguese, the Marathas, the British, the native settlers… they all tried obliterating this history and wisdom. The work of the outsiders who wrote about the Warli represents this process of creating new mythologies. By bringing together these disparate discourses, this video aspires to critique these mythologies… To read between the lines, as the stories themselves do.

Cinema offers a unique opportunity to synthesize a special multilayered space, whose dramaturgy cannot be limited to the traditional Hollywood-style concept of plot, but instead relies primarily on the interaction of several layers that give rise to the Image: music, visuals, text, and form.

I want to live with the things I love and cherish. My family and I live in Ayase, and I work at a bookstore in Ikebukuro. Sometimes I open a store at a flea market with a friend. We sell tableware, which she likes, and accessories made from buttons, which I make, and they are quite popular. With the money we saved there, my friend went on a long-awaited trip abroad. My goal is to start living alone. Today is my day off, so I go out to check out an apartment. I stopped by a park and saw cats having a meeting. When I saw the old building, I suddenly wanted to see my grandmother, so I took the train... The entire film is written in monologue and with a handheld 8mm camera, and features all the things "I" like: buttons, the dawn from my room, cats, the ocean, and my grandmother. There is no context, no meaning, no great sense of beauty, but they play a comfortable rhythm and a beautiful melody. This is a fictional essay whose natural gentleness reminds us of non-fiction.

Acclaimed Chinese TV documentarian Wang Haibing’s Home was an official selection at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival. The film records a story between humans and animals. The protagonists of the story are: a giant panda, who is about to be released into nature, and several ordinary workers at the rescue station to protect the giant panda. The relationship between man and nature depicted here is simple, harmonious and beautiful.

Elly thinks she can handle bringing April to work with her, but the library has never before seen such destruction. April is very different from the other Patterson kids: the characters look back at Elly’s pregnancy and the circumstances around April’s birth,during a freak winter storm in the early hours of April 1st. Now that the older kids don't need them as much, John and Elly realize that, even though April is a handful, she’ll still grow up way too fast.
