Last year, an 8mm film that popped out from the back of my closet. "Winter 1994" is magically written on the film reel (definitely my handwriting), but I don't even remember where it was taken

In 1999, the Indigenous Culture Club at the National Taiwan University held a series of annual ceremony activities as a tribute to traditional indigenous rituals. Unfamiliar with their native languages and cultures, however, the student organizers found themselves in an awkward position that brought them into conflict with the school administration. Where would they find the “salt”, an in-depth understanding of their cultural identities and backgrounds?

Alternating between two cameras three feet apart, shooting black on each to match the image on the other, created in-camera A and B rolls for pseudo-hyper-stereoscopic view of two trees. Natural lighting cooperated.

A recording of a girl (Nozomi Horikawa) playing with "Shironeko" on a sunny day. "Kuroneko" appears. A private cinema with kittens and trees swaying in the wind in the park in early summer.

A group of 20 somethings try to save Game Beat, a TV show they produce about video games from Joe Whitehead, an evil TV producer who wants to get Game Beat canceled so that his girlfriend Stella Lightwood can have her show take its place.

Arnie, the blustering, brow-beating dog, is continually out-smarted by a parasitic flea, Birnie. Tired of Birnie using his body as a bed and breakfast, Arnie tries to put an end to Birnie, over and over again. Windlight uses motion capture to block out the overall movement, then animates on top of that data to achieve the more cartoony effects and motion expected of character animation. The result is a hybrid of cartoon gags and subtle human movements.

Goodbye, two-country towns. Shuhei and Midori, two poor siblings without parents, manage to live together in a small apartment but have long been urged by their aunt in Tokyo to move in with them. The younger sister is reluctant, the older brother gives up. A small incident occurs between them that makes them aware of the opposite sex, and their respective summers pass. And the day they leave for Tokyo is the day of a summer festival in the country town where the siblings were born and raised. The film's direction has the ability to plant the emotions and background of each of them firmly on the screen with everyday movements and straightforward dialogue. The level of acting by the actors is high. It was a summer when we felt cool with barley tea and watermelon instead of air-conditioning. The same nostalgia and vitality are present throughout the film.

With an ice-cream cone, a warm summer. A young man and woman live together. During the hot summer, the man is engaged in manual labour. The woman stays at home and sleeps. The only time she goes out is when she gets a phone call from the man who forgot his lunch. She takes her lunch to the construction site, waits until the work is finished and rides home on the back of her bicycle. The next day she sleeps again, and that's how she lives. One day, the woman wakes up comfortably. When she comes to, she finds an ice cube on her forehead. Her lipstick, which she had been unable to decide on no matter how much she applied, is now perfectly matched. She has a good feeling. Getting up, getting dressed, walking along the dusty road, nibbling on ice cream... The film has a concise and powerful charm that flows throughout, symbolised by the movements of the main female character. After watching the film, you will feel that 'taking a nap is also a way of living straight'.

What hast thou done? - The voice of my brother's blood is crying to you from the ground. - We are shown how God sows the seeds of discord and divides mankind into good and evil.

Nauseating - mostly due to its decayed essence and invasive tone but also because of it's eerie mid-90's bleakness. Visually stinky, but nostalgic, with a few filthy funny whispers of effortless humor. The rest is mercurial, unsettling, and a little dire. A combination that creates a captivating can't-look-away 45 minutes. This is the pizza party precursor to the madness that ensued later on with these strange folks.

This twenty eight minute documentary traces the process of a modern dancer who studies Classical East Indian Dance with Priyamvada Sankar, legacy of the legendary Balasaraswati. Through sharing the modern dancer's learning process, the audience is guided into an understanding and appreciation of Bharata Natyam Dance.

This video vividly re-creates 15 hand and finger injuries to show the viewer the effects of unsafe work practices. While the program graphically illustrates each accident, it also presents the causes and prevention measures for each one. The program will force the viewer to think about the value of his hands and how fragile they can be if neglected or left unprotected.
