The work of art in the age of genetic reproduction-- Based on the practice of lip-reading, this short animated film explores the visual "code" of verbal pronunciation by animating pairs of lips cut out from magazines according to the position of the mouth in pronouncing a sound of spoken language.

Indifferent to a break-up with her boyfriend and the lure of a long-planned trip, she finds some refuge in her workplace where she meets Tetsuro, a young Korean man newly emigrated from Japan who is obsessed with all things American. But together they discover no easy resolutions.

Conversations with 92 year old Kamlabai Gokhale, a pioneering actress of the Marathi stage and the first lady of Indian film. The documentary gives an impression of the history and growth of Indian film and theatre as it was experienced by a woman who struggled against the social structures of her times.

This video was released way in 1992, the year of the Black Hawk Down affair in Somalia, the Rodney King riots, Magic Johnson and Arthur Ashe getting AIDS, Spike Lee's Malcolm X, and many, many other historic events.

“Deviate” is a short Super 8 film made specifically for the Memorial Project. While friends of Dan Moyen, who died of AIDS in 1990, talk about him, the viewer sees old footage of Dan expressing his feelings on the matter.

This disturbing film presents people abducted by UFOs describing their traumatic experiences during tests and experiments performed by extraterrestrials. The film also features internationally respected UFO investigators. The sensation caused by the film produced and directed by Juhan af Grann has not yet abated in Finland and Scandinavia.

In Hole, the subject matter is a man made hole near a construction site. Employing static camera shots and conventional compositions, the film is an exploration of light, but also of scale as the filmmaker contrasts the human and feline appearances that pass through the hole

The filmed object is a magnetic tape placed on pieces of mirrors. The whole film is based on the camera movements that are played with light, on the meanders of the magnetic strip. In October 1984, peformance artist/filmmaker extraordinaire, Jack Smith was coaxed out of his New York apartment for a five night run of performances held at the Funnel Experimental Film Theatre in Toronto, Canada. The performance, entitled: “Brassieres of Uranus” consisted of a number of local artists on stage creating brassieres out of plastic flowerpots. The event culminated on Halloween with the finale “Dance of the Sacred Foundation Application” performed to the music of the Seven Veils. This footage is one of the few remaining film documents of this memorable event.
